The Jack Kirby Museum and Research Center has received a donation of over fifty pages of original Jack Kirby artwork from artist Richard Howell, expanding one of the most important archival collections of the King's work. Howell, known for his runs on titles including Vision and the Scarlet Witch and Cage, donated the pieces directly to the nonprofit institution dedicated to preserving Kirby's legacy.
The donation represents a significant addition to the museum's holdings at a time when original Kirby art commands premium prices at auction. Pages from his Marvel work routinely sell for five and six figures, with key splash pages breaking into seven-figure territory. By placing these pages in the museum's permanent collection, Howell has ensured they will remain accessible to researchers, historians, and fans rather than disappearing into private hands.
The museum has not disclosed which specific titles or characters the donated pages feature, nor whether they include published work or unused sketches and designs.
